1. America is a democracy and anyone can vote. 2. To imply that only a "ruling" power can be racist is not only incorrect, but a double standard. 3. College professors aren't all seeing and all knowing.
From my point of view the government is least racist, because they are the first ones to hear about racial concerns, despite the fact that most of them are white. Color has never been an issue for me, I see it but I don't judge upon it. In my mind if people want to diminish the line between black and white quit segregating themselves, i.e.; BET, NAACP Awards, black/African American students organizations, etc. These groups are segregating and only setting the bar lower for themselves. Equal rights for blacks is still relatively new, and people who are against it will have to warm up to the idea. The best thing that anyone on the bottom can do is to set the bar too low.
