Hi Thomas! Nobody posts on this board anymore, but it's still nice to read what you write whenever you respond. :)
Well, Hank and I are doing just great. We are still in love some 11 years after we met! This relationship is by far the best I ever had because we are just so right for each other.
So it turns out that all the tears on my pillows that followed breaking up with men who were not right for me were worth it. It was really hard giving up certain ones that I loved but where there was a real deal breaker involved. Loss is miserable. But now I am glad that I was strong and walked away from people who would have brought with them so many problems. And I am also glad that I didn't live with anyone before I got married. All that waiting made me much pickier in finding a life partner. Which was all for the good.
No, we are not planning any children. Actually, there is no way I can. As you might remember, I had cancer when pretty young, and I cannot. But I doubt that we would have gone down that road anyway. The world is a hard place, Thomas. It is a really big deal to bring anyone into this world. And there are plenty of children with no families. Maybe someday we might go that route, but it is not on the agenda at this point in time.
So how are you? Are you still working as a writer?
