I am currently in a relationship with someone who is becoming controlling very quickly. The feelings I once had for him and fading fast. That's not the main issue though. A friend of mine had a serious accident back in Sept. Okay, well he's more than a friend. I believe he's my soul mate. I've known him for 7 years now, and I've loved him ever since I met him. The accident he was in, was a very serious one, he almost died. He is now paralyzed on the left side of his body. He just regained movement in his left leg, and he is re-learning how to walk. He has some memory problems, vision problems, and he slurs his speech. The thing is, I STILL love him. My mom says I'm being stupid, because he may never be the same again, but I don't care. It doesn't matter to me what he looks like, I just want to be with him. I fell in love with his personality, not his looks. So, I guess I'm saying, what should I do? I have 2 kids that are still fairly young, so this is really confusing me right now. Do I stick with the asshole I'm with right now, or do I go where my heart says?
