I agree with Nikki's usual great advice, except for one possible factor she hasn't considered. Did he get a huge insurance settlement, enough for you all to live on without working?
If so, you should still examine your motives. Does the money help attract you? Will your attrction to him really last? Is his disability partly an attraction too? This isn't necessarily a bad thing, if caring for someone disabled is part of your make up. Perhaps your children can learn to help. That could all be a good thing.
I agree you should leave the jackass.
