I had a strange dream last night. Maybe Thomas and Nikki can help me make sense of it.

In the dream I’m lying naked on a futon, covered with a red satin sheet. Feeling ravenously hungry, I suddenly shout:

“ME WANT BANANA!”

Two men walk into the room. One is my boyfriend; the other is his handsome, muscular friend, Peter. Each is holding a banana. Dirk’s banana is large, firm, and perfectly ripe, while my boyfriend’s is small, squishy, and rotten. In the dream, I’m angry at my boyfriend for having the nerve to offer me such a pathetic banana, so I eagerly accept Dirk’s banana. I lovingly and carefully peel it. I eat it with enticing slowness. It is the sweetest, most delicious banana I have eaten in my entire life. It completely satisfies my hunger.

In the dream, my boyfriend is jealous that I have eaten Dirk’s banana but not his. A major argument ensues. I wake up at this point.

In the morning, I confronted my boyfriend with the dream and asked him about the dream’s significance. He got all nervous and said: “I don’t know, Lola. Sometimes a banana is just a banana.” So I asked him what hell that’s supposed to mean. But he refused to discuss the dream any further. Later, he went to the grocery store and brought back a dozen bananas. And I don’t even really like bananas.

Please, I’m confused and need help interpreting my dream!
