Wow Sunshine, your story is a tough one. Life can be so terribly difficult. Survival is everything, and I can understand how someone who was down and out might decide to prositute herself.
Of course, that is a very traumatic choice to make. I think that men have a harder time understanding that. (Although Thomas gave you some great advice and is wiser than most.) I think some guys tend to think it's the easiest way in the world to make money and have a great time too. Personally, I think it's the most difficult because of the toll it can take on the person.
I think the way you've described your paid sexual encounters is pretty much the way I've seen other interviewed women speak. They aren't into the sex. The are generally disconnected from it and only interested in getting the man's money in the shortest possible time.
It has to warp a woman's feelings towards sex if she is having sex that she is detached from or even repulsed by or fearful of.
The question is, how do you get over something that traumatic? I'm sure I do not know. I would be completely jaded. Once sex is reduced to something base and ugly enough times, how do you get back to thinking of it as something you desire?
I would think that you must have professinal help and I think Thomas was completely right in what he told you about that. All I can add is that I genuinely hope things work out for you and you can overcome the damage that your past did to you.
