Dr. Drew Pinsky is a Board Certified internist and addictionalogist. He started his second career, in late-night radio, fourteen years ago during his fourth year of medical school. As a student, he volunteered to co-host a Los Angeles based radio show. Over the years the radio show evolved into "Loveline," which is now nationally syndicated in over twenty markets. Dr. Drew continues to co-host the radio version of "Loveline," while maintaining his medical practice. Dr. Drew is married and has triplets. Drew carries a very hectic schedule between his family, the hospital, radio, and the now the TV show. He doesn't feel it would be right for him to quit his practice and still call himself a doctor on the radio. Dr. Drew is one hell of a guy!

Brief History

Adam was born in Philadelphia but grew up in North Hollywood, CA. His birthday is May 27, and he'll be 33 years old. He studied comedy since he was in his early twenties with comedy troupes such as the Groundlings. A lot of people tell him that he's just a natural at comedy. Adam worked in construction and as a boxing instructor for a few years. Jimmy, who Adam still loves to hang out with, was able to jump start Adam's career in radio by getting him a job on the KROQ-FM Kevin and Bean morning show. Here he developed the popular radio character, "Mr. Birchum, the shop teacher." Adam was then offered a spot as co-host of "Loveline".

Life of the air

Adam likes to just relax in front of the TV and flip the channels, usually watching Documentaries. He also continues to teach private lessons of boxing on Sundays when he has time. Just about everyday he takes a nap around 4:00 or 5:00 in the afternoon, after working on the house all day, then wakes up, reads some e-mail when his computer is working and then reads a bio on his guest for that night. Then he's off to work, usually leaves the house by 9:00 or 9:10 to be on the air by 10:00 PM.

He has an eclectic taste in music, loves Graham Parker and John Hiatt. He also listens to some of the bands that come on his show such as Verve Pipe, Everclear, Better Than Ezra, etc.

Adam is an excellent cook.

He wears a hat 75% of the time and allways during the show.
